Benchmarking and Roadmapping for E-commerce Sites

How do your product discovery capabilities compare to your competitors? Are you leaving money on the table and frustrating your site visitors because you’re missing features? Or are you the king of the mountain? And - once you know how you stack up, how should you prioritize fixing your gaps?

We analyze your site - or a portion of your site - against three (or more if you want) competitor sites and produce an objective comparison of site features (e.g. sorts, filters, layouts, configurators, finders, etc.) and site effectiveness (product content, non-product content, search relevancy, personalization, precision, flow, experience). We wrap up our analysis in a tidy and readable report with lots of sexy infographics that you can put into board slides.

Then we take all of your issues and opportunities, put a Hogwarts sorting hat on them, and, given your existing tech stack, create an efficient roadmap that will catch you to your competition (or stretch your lead) based on your priorities (e.g. commercial returns, operability, etc.). Where needed, we can also recommend alternative vendors where issues are insurmountable due to stack constraints. Like the assessment, we build out the roadmap in a slide deck that you can use to build consensus.

These engagements run for ~6 weeks and are full time.
